When Christmas comes, every family decorates their homes with spectacular Christmas lightings. Not only do people put up Christmas decors and lights the inside of the house but others go all out and embellish the exterior of the home landing their streets in one of Sydney’s best streets for Christmas light displays.

Richards Close (Berowra)

By the end of the Richards Close Street, you can see the most impressive Christmas designer lightings. Each year, more homes are joining the light displays. Socializing and street parties have become a Christmas tradition in the recent years. The nearby roads such as the Aubrey Place and Gully Road also have Christmas light displays which are worth checking.

Sydney Road (Hornsby Heights)

Considered as the most breathtaking area with Christmas lights, Sydney Road is a street with more than fifty houses. Each house has lightings in various colors, shapes, sizes, and pattern. The usual Christmas lights decors such as the nativity scenes, Santa Claus and elves are can also be seen.

With Sydney Road’s Christmas spirit, it has influenced the neighboring streets like the Brett Avenue, Plateau Close, Margaret Avenue and Ulolo Avenue to contribute to the areas Christmas decors and cheer.

Borgnis Street (Davidson)

The beautiful lights and decors in Borgnis Street have captured the eyes of the public. Every night in December, the street is lined with houses that have amazing Christmas lights and the surrounding streets also have charming stand-alone homes. Every night in December, ice cream vans and sausage sizzles go to the area to sell to the community and visitors.

The street raises funds for the Bear Cottage which is a home to seriously ill children. When you go to this place, don’t forget to donate. From December 2, the lights season will run every day from 7 PM to 11 PM.

Chauvel Street & Cutler Parade (North Ryde)

When going to this place, park in the nearby streets and walk to the Street to have a full view of the different Christmas lightings and decors put up by the houses. Every year the spectacles get bigger and better and more homes participate in the displays.

Lane Cove

The Lane Cove Council starts up a competition entitled Light Up Lane Cove every year where the residents decorate their homes in hopes of winning. This street is great to explore via car. You don’t have to walk. You can also check out the nearby streets namely Longueville, Greenwich, and Riverview.

Prince Albert Avenue (Mosman)

With the stunning mansions in the street, it is a sight to see during the day and even more impressive when night comes. Each house displays the various Christmas designer lightings and creates a fantastic festive atmosphere with all the spectacular creations on display.
